2025 has been a huge year for Alembic! When we looked back on the year, there has been some amazing client projects, lots of open source contribution and many community contributions to thought leadership and learning together.

Client Stories

We love to share the stories of how we have helped our clients build future proof software. While we can’t pick a favourite, the highest traffic client story was definitely “Transforming Healthcare Communication With Elixir and Ash”. This one showed how one of our clients reduced their infrastructure costs by nearly 85% all while speeding up their time to market, no wonder people liked that one!

Open source:

We have ‘open source in our DNA’. Our team made over 10,000 commits to open source projects this year, with some highlight being the obvious projects - Ash, Ash Authentication, and some a great new projects Cinder and Clarity.

Community Contributions

We learn a lot about how to build future proof software through our project delivery for different domains around the world… and we love to share what we learn. Our team gave 17 conference talks and workshops around the world, and contributed 7 meetup talks as well! Some highlights include all of the Goatmire talks and Josh Price’s keynote’s at CodeBEAM Berlin and ElixirConf US. We also ran an inaugural Ash Summit alongside Goatmire, which had a great turnout and lots of great feedback.

Thought Leadership

At Alembic, our mission is to create simpler software for everyone, and we are particularly fond of the ecosystem around Elixir and Ash Framework. To help people get to know the power and benefits, we share a lot of thought leadership material. This year Alembians wrote 18 blogs, gave 6 podcast interviews, and published 1 book! The team is really sharing the love of simple software.

In 2026, we look forward to delivering more future proof software for our clients, helping the industry to navigate changing architectures & experiences, growing the Elixir & Ash Framework ecosystem and learning alongside the community.

We wish everyone a safe and happy end to 2025 and we look forward to meeting you in 2026!
